Morse Management is a boutique management consulting firm based in Ottawa, Ontario. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit morsemanagement.com, complete our diagnostic quiz, or communicate with us. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information we collect

We collect personal information that you provide to us directly, including when you complete our diagnostic quiz at morsemanagement.com/quiz. This typically includes your name, business email address, business phone number, company name, industry, employee count, and your responses to the quiz questions.

When you visit our website, we may also automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, referral source, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. This information helps us understand how visitors find and use our website, and supports our compliance with anti-spam and privacy laws.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to deliver your quiz results, respond to inquiries, provide our consulting services, send you commercial messages where you have given us permission to do so, improve our website and services, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

If you opt in to anonymized aggregate research at the time of the quiz, we may also include your responses (without information that identifies you) in benchmarking and research outputs.

Your consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information only with your knowledge and consent, except where required or permitted by law.

When you complete our quiz, we ask for two separate consents. The first is your express consent under CASL to receive commercial electronic messages from us. The second, which is voluntary, is your consent to include your anonymized responses in aggregate research. You can give one, both, or neither.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. To withdraw your consent to receive commercial messages, click the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us using the details below. We action unsubscribe requests within ten business days.

How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate our business, such as our customer relationship management platform, email delivery services, scheduling tools, and analytics providers. These service providers are bound by contractual obligations that require them to handle your information consistently with this Policy and applicable Canadian privacy law.

Some of our service providers operate outside of Canada, including in the United States. When your information is processed in another country, it may be subject to that country's laws, including lawful access by foreign authorities. We rely on contractual safeguards to ensure a comparable level of protection.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to provide our services, to meet our legal and contractual obligations, and to comply with applicable law. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

If you withdraw your consent to receive commercial messages, we retain only the limited information needed to honour your withdrawal and to demonstrate compliance with anti-spam law.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable technical, organizational, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. These include encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts, access controls, and confidentiality obligations on anyone who handles personal information on our behalf.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. The diagnostic quiz itself does not set cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect how parts of the website function.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your information, subject to legal obligations that may require us to retain certain records. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We respond to requests within thirty days.

Children

Our services are directed at businesses and business decision-makers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.

We may update this policy as our practices change or as the law evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
